Ledger — Privacy Policy Last updated: July 4, 2026 Ledger (“the app”) is developed and maintained by an individual developer (contact: panneer9664@gmail.com). This policy explains what information the app collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. Information we collect Account information. When you create an account, we collect the email address and password you provide. Passwords are handled entirely by our backend provider, Supabase, using industry-standard hashing — we never see or store your password in plain text. Financial data you enter. Ledger is a personal budgeting tool. Any data you enter — spending categories and limits, transactions, loan/credit card balances and due dates, and savings goals — is stored so the app can show it back to you across sessions and devices. We do not collect this data for any purpose other than operating the app’s core features (showing your budget, calculating totals, and sending you the reminders described below). We do not collect: your device’s contacts, photos, location, browsing history, or any data from other apps. Ledger does not connect to your bank, card, or brokerage accounts — all financial figures are manually entered by you. How your data is stored Your account and budgeting data are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, Inc., our backend infrastructure provider. Every table is protected by row-level security rules that mathematically restrict each account to reading and writing only its own data — there is no administrative view, dashboard, or export that shows one user’s data to another user, and app support staff (there are none beyond the developer) cannot browse your data outside of directly querying the database for support purposes if you ask for help. Supabase acts as our data processor and maintains its own security and compliance practices; see Supabase’s privacy policy at https://supabase.com/privacy for details on their infrastructure. Notifications Ledger uses on-device local notifications (via Apple’s and Google’s notification frameworks) to remind you about category spending limits, credit utilization, and upcoming debt payments. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device based on your own data — no notification content is sent to or generated by a remote server, and no third party (including us) is notified when a reminder fires. Biometric / passcode app lock If you enable device-level Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or passcode unlock, that authentication is handled entirely by your device’s operating system. Ledger never receives, stores, or transmits your biometric data or passcode — the app only receives a yes/no “authentication succeeded” result from the OS. Data sharing We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies. We do not run ads in Ledger. Your data is shared only with: Supabase, as the infrastructure provider hosting the database (a data processor, not an independent user of your data). Law enforcement or regulators, only if legally compelled to do so. Your choices and rights You can review, edit, or delete any category, transaction, debt, or goal directly in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data entirely, email panneer9664@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and we will delete your records from the database within 30 days. If you’re in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), those rights — access, correction, deletion, portability — are honored through the same request process. Children’s privacy Ledger is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it. Changes to this policy If this policy changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Since Ledger doesn’t have an in-app notification system for policy changes, we recommend checking this page periodically if you have concerns.
